The RRA PDS Carbine Rifle is the first of a new generation of firearms employing RRA's patent-pending Piston Driven System (PDS). Employing a purpose-designed bolt carrier, an adjustable gas piston and an over-the-barrel spring and guide rod arrangement, the RRA Piston Driven System is able to completely do away with the traditional recoil system associated with AR-style firearms, making for an extremely versatile weapon platform. Chambered for 5.56 & .223 caliber with an 16" chrome moly barrel & 1/9 twist. The RRA PDS Carbine's full length top mounting rail, from the rear of the receiver to the regulator housing, allows for the flexible placement of numerous optics, lights lasers and other accessories. The PDS operating system allows for the elimination of the traditional "AR" receiver extension (containing the action spring and buffer) behind the lower receiver. The side-folding stock adaptor allows for the use of and "CAR style" stock, with adaptors for other types of stocks already planned. Aluminum Tri-Rail Handguard for mounting lights, lasers, foregrips, etc. A2 flash hider. Includes hard case, manual and one 30 round magazine.
